Parking was a challenge, had to park a short walk away.

Free WiFi was a good excuse to avoid socializing. The seating area was useful for people-watching. Kendal Castle being 24 km away saved me from visiting it.

Oh, the joy of discovering that there was no welcoming pack! Silly me, I love carrying around biscuits, wine, and milk on my travels.

Warm and Cozy: The cottage felt like a comforting hug after a long day of exploring. It was as snug as a marshmallow in hot cocoa, providing the perfect retreat from the chilly Kirkby Lonsdale weather.

Our stay at Back Cottage was fantastic! The location was excellent, allowing us to easily explore the surrounding area. The log fire was a cozy touch, perfect for those chilly winter days. We also appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, which allowed us to cook our own meals. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed. We definitely plan on returning in the future.

I absolutely loved the bathroom with a shower in our room at Back Cottage. It was so cozy and welcoming, with a rustic touch that made me feel right at home. The shower itself was fantastic, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. As a vegetarian/vegan, I appreciate the environmentally friendly toiletries provided, which suited my lifestyle perfectly.

The only downside for me was that there was only one bathroom with a bath or shower in the cottage. But hey, this is just my opinion and others might not mind at all.
